With less than two weeks to go until the close of nominations in the St David Awards, Assembly Member for Gower, Rebecca Evans, has urged people to nominate local heroes.
Now in their fourth year, the St David Awards acknowledge the achievements of people the length and breadth of Wales. They were created to recognise the great deeds and contributions made by people from all walks of life.
The St David Awards categories are Bravery; Culture; Enterprise; Citizenship; Innovation and Technology; International; Sport; Young Person and the First Minister’s Special Award.
Rebecca Evans AM said:
“I have met numerous constituents who go the extra mile to make a difference to people’s lives in their local and wider communities.
"I am calling for people across Gower to nominate an individual or group for a St David Award.
"The St David Awards have proved to be a huge success in previous years, and with less than two weeks left to nominate, I don't want anyone to miss the chance to nominate and celebrate the achievements of our local heroes.”
The closing date for nominations in this year’s awards is midnight on October 21st 2016.
